"Hi! I’m Brian and I’m super excited to kick off NYC’s first and only hill workout run group, Thursday Hill Club. I started running competitively over 20 years ago and running hard up hill has always been an integral part of my program. It’s one of the best ways to build strength and I’m a firm believer that a strong runner is a fast runner.


Over the last six months I’ve been running hills consistently once a week at various locations throughout the city. There are plenty of hills here for us to run, you just have to go out and find them! (Don’t worry, I’ve done that for you) Instead of continuing to do these hard runs by myself, I’m starting this club to share my passion with as many people as possible. Waking up to run is hard, waking up to run hard is even harder, but when you know there will be a group of people there to motivate you, it makes it that much easier, and loads more fun!
